island.Turnofftheenginewhen
refueling. Donotsmokenearfuel
orwhenrefueling thevehicle.
Donotusecellular phones.
Keepsparks,flames,and
smokingmaterials awayfromfuel.
Donotleavethefuelpump
unattended whenrefueling the
vehicle. Thisisagainstthelawin
someplaces.Donotre-enter the
vehiclewhilepumpingfuel.Keep
childrenawayfromthefuelpump;
neverletchildren pumpfuel.
Fuelcansprayoutonyouifyou
openthefuelcaptooquickly.
Ifyouspillfuelandthen
something ignitesit,youcouldbe
badlyburned.Thisspraycan
happenifthetankisnearlyfull,
andismorelikelyinhotweather.
Openthefuelcapslowlyand
waitforanyhissnoisetostop.
Thenunscrewthecapalltheway.
Thetethered fuelcapislocated
behindahingedfueldooronthe
passenger sideofthevehicle.
Toopenthefueldoor,pushthe
rearward centeredgeinandrelease
anditwillopen.
Becarefulnottospillfuel.Donot
topofforoverfill thetankandwaita
fewsecondsafteryouhavefinished
pumpingbeforeremoving the
nozzle.Cleanfuelfrompainted
surfaces assoonaspossible.

Toremovethefuelcap,turnit
slowlycounterclockwise.
Whilerefueling, hangthetethered
fuelcapfromthehookonthe
fueldoor.
Whenreinstalling thecap,turnit
clockwise untilitclicksonce,
otherwise theMalfunction Indicator
Whenreplacing thefuelcap,turn
itclockwise untilitclicksonce.
Makesurethecapisfullyinstalled.
