Thenreplacethepressure cap.
Besurethepressure capis
hand-tight andfullyseated.
Notice: Ifthepressure capisnot
tightlyinstalled, coolantlossand
possibleenginedamagemay
occur.Besurethecapisproperly
andtightlysecured.

Thenkeepturningthepressure
capslowlyandremoveit.
3. Fillthecoolantsurgetankwith
thepropermixture, toslightly
abovetheFROID/FULL COLD
lineonthesideofthecoolant
surgetank.
Recheckthecoolantlevelinthe
bottlenexttimeyouuseyour
vehicletoinsurethesystemisfull
whencold.SeeEngineCoolant on
page 9‑18.

Withthecoolantsurgetank
pressure capoff,startthe
engineandletitrununtilyou
canfeeltheupperradiator hose
gettinghot.Theupperradiator
hoseisthetophosecomingout
oftheradiator,onthepassenger
sideofthevehicle. Watchoutfor
theenginecoolingfans.
