themanualtransmission.
WhileintheDSCmode,theCTS
automatic transmission will
automatically downshift whenthe
vehiclecomestoastop.Thiswill
allowformorepowerduring
acceleration.

TheCTS-Vautomatic transmission
willnotautomatically downshift
onhardacceleration whenin
DSCmode.

(First): Presstheclutchpedal
andshiftinto1(First). Thenslowly
letupontheclutchpedalasyou
presstheaccelerator pedal.
Whenaccelerating thevehicle
fromastopinsnowyandicy
conditions, youmaywanttoshift
intosecondgear.Ahighergear
allowsthevehicletogainmore
traction onslippery surfaces.
Shiftinto1(First)whenyouare
goinglessthan40km/h(25mph).
ForCTS-V,shiftinto1(First)when
youaregoinglessthan64km/h
(40
mph).Ifyoucometoa
complete stopanditishardtoshift
into1(First), puttheshiftleverin
Neutralandletupontheclutch.
