betweentheliftgate andthebody
andpressesagainstthissensor,the
liftgate willreversedirection and
openfully.Theliftgate willremain
openuntilitisactivated againor
closedmanually.
3. Pressandholdthebuttononthe
liftgate adjacent tothelatchuntil
theturnsignalsflashandabeep
soundstoindicate thatthenew
settingisrecorded.
avehicleequipped withapower
liftgate willbehigherthana
standard non-power liftgate.
Toopentheliftgate, pressthe
touchpad onthehandleonthe
outsideoftheliftgate, andliftthe
gateopen.Toclosetheliftgate, use
thepullcuptolowertheliftgate and
close.Withthepowerliftgate
disabled theliftgate electric latchwill
stillpowerlatchoncecontactis
madewiththestriker.Alwaysclose
theliftgate beforedriving.
Whenpoweropenedwiththe

modeselected, theliftgate
stopsatthenewsetposition.
Ifanaudibleandvisualresponseis
notreceived whensettingthe
intermediate stopposition, the
liftgate heightisbelowthe¾open
heightminimum,approximately

Stoptheliftgate movementat
thedesiredheightbypressing
anybuttonthatoperatesthe
powerliftgate,orthetouchpad
switch.Manuallyadjustthe
liftgate position ifrequired.
Tochangetheliftgate tomanual
operation, turnthemodeswitch
toOFF.
Theliftgate hasanelectric latch.
Ifthebatteryisdisconnected orhas
lowvoltage,theliftgate willnot
open.Theliftgate willresume
operation whenthebatteryis
reconnected andcharged.
Withthepowerliftgate disabled
andallofthedoorsunlocked, the
liftgate canbemanuallyopened
