Ifyouneedtoreplaceanyofthe
wheels,wheelbolts,wheelnuts,
orTirePressure MonitorSystem
(TPMS)sensors, replacethemonly
withnewGMoriginal equipment
parts.Thisway,youwillbesureto
havetherightwheel,wheelbolts,
wheelnuts,andTPMSsensorsfor
thevehicle.
Notice: Thewrongwheelcan
alsocauseproblemswithbearing
life,brakecooling, speedometer
orodometercalibration,
headlampaim,bumperheight,
vehiclegroundclearance, andtire
ortirechainclearance tothe
bodyandchassis.
Replaceanywheelthatisbent,
cracked, orbadlyrustedor
corroded. Ifwheelnutskeepcoming
loose,thewheel,wheelbolts,and
wheelnutsshouldbereplaced.
Ifthewheelleaksair,replaceit
(exceptsomealuminum wheels,
whichcansometimes berepaired).

Usingthewrongreplacement
wheels,wheelbolts,orwheel
nutsonyourvehiclecanbe
dangerous. Itcouldaffectthe
brakingandhandling ofyour
vehicle, makeyourtiresloseair
andmakeyoulosecontrol. You
couldhaveacollision inwhich
youorotherscouldbeinjured.
Alwaysusethecorrectwheel,
wheelbolts,andwheelnutsfor
replacement.
Eachnewwheelshouldhavethe
sameload-carrying capacity,
diameter,width,offset,andbe
mountedthesamewayastheoneit
replaces.
Puttingausedwheelonthe
vehicleisdangerous. Youcannot
knowhowithasbeenusedor
howfarithasbeendriven.
Itcouldfailsuddenlyandcausea
crash.Ifyouhavetoreplacea
wheel,useanewGMoriginal
equipment wheel.
