transmission, releasing theclutch
andpressing theaccelerator will
releasetheElectric Parking
Brake.Ifthevehicleisnotina
gear,thevehiclecouldmove,and
youorotherscouldbeinjured.
Makesurethevehicleisinagear
beforeattempting todriveaway.
Toavoidunexpected vehicle
movement, donotpartially
EPBApply
TheEPBcanbeappliedanytime
thevehicleisstopped. TheEPBis
appliedbymomentarily liftingupon
theEPBswitch.Oncefullyapplied,
theBRAKElightwillbeon,andthe
DICmessage“ParkBrakeSet”will
bedisplayed. Whilethebrakeis
beingapplied, thestatuslightwill
flashuntilfullapplyisreached.
Ifthelightdoesnotcomeon,
orremainsflashing, youneedto
havethevehicleserviced. Donot
drivethevehicleiftheBRAKElight
isflashing. Seeyourdealer/retailer.

Vehicleswiththeelectric parking
brake(EPB)haveaswitchinthe
centerconsole.
TheEPBtakestheplaceofthe
manualparkingbrakesystem,the
footpedalandreleasehandle.The
EPBcanalwaysbeactivated, even
iftheignition isOFF.Toavoid
draining thebattery,donotoperate
theEPBtoooftenwithoutthe
enginerunning.
releasetheclutchorpressthe
accelerator pedaluntilyouare
readytoreleasetheparking
brakeanddriveaway.
