as:headlamps, highbeams,fog
lamps,rearwindowdefogger,
climatecontrolfanathighspeed,
heatedseats,enginecoolingfans,
trailerloads,andloadspluggedinto
accessory poweroutlets.

Theexterior lampsturnoffabout
10minutesaftertheignition is
turnedtoLOCK/OFF,iftheparking
lampsorheadlamps havebeenleft
on.Thisprotects againstdraining
thebattery.Thebatterysaver
doesnotworkiftheheadlamps are
turnedonaftertheignition isturned
toLOCK/OFF.
EPMworkstopreventexcessive
discharge ofthebattery.Itdoesthis
bybalancing thegenerator's output
andthevehicle's electrical needs.
Itcanincrease engineidlespeedto
generate morepower,whenever
needed.Itcantemporarily reduce
thepowerdemandsofsome
accessories.
