Operation
ThisvehiclemayhaveaTire
Pressure MonitorSystem(TPMS).
TheTPMSisdesignedtowarnthe
driverwhenalowtirepressure
condition exists.TPMSsensorsare
mountedontoeachtireandwheel
assembly,excluding thesparetire
andwheelassembly,ifthevehicle
hasone.TheTPMSsensors
monitortheairpressureinthe
vehicle's tiresandtransmits thetire
pressure readings toareceiver
locatedinthevehicle.
Yourvehiclehasalsobeen
equipped withaTPMSmalfunction
indicator toindicate whenthe
properly.
systemisnotoperating properly.
TheTPMSmalfunction indicator is
combinedwiththelowtirepressure
telltale. Whenthesystemdetectsa
malfunction, thetelltale willflashfor
approximately oneminuteandthen
remaincontinuously illuminated.
Thissequence willcontinue upon
subsequent vehiclestart-ups as
longasthemalfunction exists.
