ignition toON/RUN,butdonot
starttheengine.Without
applying theregularbrake,tryto
movetheshiftleveroutof
P(Park)withnormaleffort.Ifthe
shiftlevermovesoutofP(Park),
contactyourdealer/retailer  for
service.

serviceisrequired.
Whenyouaredoingthis
inspection, thevehiclecould
movesuddenly.Ifthevehicle
moves,youorotherscouldbe
injured.

LockCheck
{WARNING
Whileparked,andwiththeparking
brakeset,trytoturntheignition    to
LOCK/OFFineachshiftlever
position.
Whenyouaredoingthischeck,
thevehiclecouldbegintomove.
Youorotherscouldbeinjured
andproperty couldbedamaged.
Makesurethereisroominfront
ofthevehicleincaseitbeginsto
roll.Bereadytoapplytheregular
brakeatonceshouldthevehicle
begintomove.

Beforestarting thischeck,be
surethereisenoughroom
aroundthevehicle.  Itshouldbe
parkedonalevelsurface.
Theignition shouldturnto
LOCK/OFFonlywhentheshift
leverisinP(Park).
2.
Firmlyapplytheparkingbrake.

Withthekeyaccessignition
system,theignition  keyshould
comeoutonlyinLOCK/OFF.
Bereadytoapplytheregular
