withorwithoutthevehiclemoving,
thebrakesadjustforwear.

ReplacingBrakeSystemParts
Properly torquedwheelnutsare
necessary tohelppreventbrake
pulsation. Whentiresarerotated,
inspectbrakepadsforwearand
evenlytightenwheelnutsinthe
propersequence totorque
Thebrakingsystemonavehicleis
complex. Itsmanypartshavetobe
oftopqualityandworkwelltogether
ifthevehicleistohavereallygood
braking. Thevehiclewasdesigned
andtestedwithtop-quality brake
parts.Whenpartsofthebraking
systemarereplaced, besuretoget
new,approved replacement parts.
Ifthisisnotdone,thebrakesmight
notworkproperly.Forexample,
installing discbrakepadsthatare
wrongforthevehicle, canchange
thebalancebetweenthefrontand
rearbrakes—fortheworse.The
brakingperformance expected can
changeinmanyotherwaysifthe
wrongreplacement brakepartsare
installed.
