tally locking the key in the vehicle. Removing the key or
closing the door will allow the locks to operate. If a door
is open, the key is in the ignition, and the ignition is in the
LOCK or ACC position, a chim e will sou nd as a rem ind er
to rem ove the key.

The Autom atic Door Locks featu re can be enabled or
disabled as follow s:
Autom atic Door Locks
The doors will lock autom atically on vehicles with power
door locks if all of the follow ing cond itions are met:

For vehicles equ ipped with the Electronic Vehicle
Inform ation Center (EVIC), refer to “Personal Settings
(Custom er Program mable Featu res)” und er “Elec-
tronic Vehicle Inform ation Center (EVIC)” in Section 4
of this manu al for details.

The Autom atic Door Locks featu re is enabled .
The transm ission is in gear.

For vehicles not equ ipped with the EVIC, perform ing
the follow ing proced ure:
All doors are closed .
The throttle is pressed .

The vehicle speed is above 15 mph (24 km/ h).
