Transmission Limp Home Mode
NOTE: Even if the transm ission can be reset, we recom -
mend that you visit a dealer at you r earliest possible
convenience. Your dealer has diagnostic equ ipment to
determ ine if the problem could recu r.
The transm ission is monitored for abnorm al cond itions.
If a cond ition is detected that could cause damage, the
transm ission autom atically shifts into second gear. The
transm ission rem ains in second gear despite the forw ard
gear selected . “P” (Park), “R” (Reverse), and “N” (Neu-
tral) will continu e to operate. This Reset featu re allow s
the vehicle to be driven to a dealer for service withou t
damaging the transm ission.
If the transm ission cannot be reset, dealer service is
requ ired .
5 Speed Automatic Transmission
Shifting from “D” (Drive) to “P” (Park) or “R” (Reverse)
(or from “P” or “R” to “D”) shou ld be done only after the
accelerator pedal is released and the vehicle is stop ped.
Be sure to keep you r foot on the brake when moving the
selector lever betw een these gears.
If the problem has been momentary, the transm ission can
be reset to regain all forw ard gears.

Stop the vehicle and shift into “P” (Park).
Turn the key to LOCK then start the engine.
Shift into “D” (Drive) and resu me driving.

I have mobile mechanic and my window wouldn't roll up. The fuses weren't labeled so I downloaded the Manuel and "boom" there we have it. No driving to 16 places looking. Lovviinng it!
