LATCH — Child Seat Anchorage System (Lower
Anchors and Tether for CHild ren )
kits or retrofit kits. You are urged to take advantage of all
the available attachm ents provid ed with you r child re-
straint in any vehicle.
Your vehicle’s rear seat is equ ipped with the child
restraint anchorage system called LATCH. The LATCH
system provid es for the installation of the child restraint
withou t using the vehicle’s seat belts, instead securing
the child restraint using lower anchorages and upper
tether strap s from the child restraint to the vehicle
stru cture.

All three rear-seating positions have lower anchorages
that are capable of accom modating LATCH-compatible
child
seats.
You
shou ld NEVER
install LATCH-
compatible child seats such that two seats share a com-
mon lower anchorage. If installing child seats in adjacent
rear-seating positions, or if you r child restraints are not
LATCH-compatible, install the restraints using the vehi-
cle’s seat belts.
LATCH-compatible child restraint system s are now avail-
able. However, becau se the lower anchorages are to be
introd uced over a period of years, child restraint system s
having attachm ents for those anchorages will continu e to
have featu res for installation using the vehicle’s seat
belts. Child restraints having tether strap s and hooks for
connection to the top tether anchorages have been avail-
able for som e time. For som e older child restraints, many
child restraint manu factu rers offer add-on tether strap

I have mobile mechanic and my window wouldn't roll up. The fuses weren't labeled so I downloaded the Manuel and "boom" there we have it. No driving to 16 places looking. Lovviinng it!
