Extend ed driving at high RPM shou ld be avoid ed to
prevent excess heat generation. A red uction in vehicle
speed may be requ ired to avoid extend ed driving at
high RPM. Retu rn to a higher gear range or vehicle
speed when road cond itions and RPM level allow s.

Towing Tips — Coolin g System
To red uce potential for engine and transm ission over-
heating, take the follow ing actions:

VEHICLE (Flat towing with all four wheels on the
ground)

When stop ped for short period s, put transm ission in “N”
(Neutral) and increase engine idle speed .

Reduce speed .
