Coolan t Checks
drain from the coolant recovery bottle. DO NOT RE-
MOVE THE COOLAN T PRESSURE CAP WHEN THE
COOLIN G SYSTEM IS HOT.
Check engine coolant (antifreeze) protection every 12
months (before the onset of freezing weather, where
applicable). If coolant is dirty or rusty in appearance, the
system shou ld be drained , flushed , and refilled with
fresh coolant. Check the front of the A/ C cond enser for
any accumulation of bugs, leaves, etc. If dirty, clean by
gently spraying water from a gard en hose vertically
down the face of the cond enser.
Coolin g System — Drain , Flush, and Refill
The system shou ld be drained , flushed , and refilled at the
intervals show n in the “Maintenance Sched ule” in Sec-
tion 8 of this manu al.
If the solu tion is dirty or contains a consid erable amount
of sed iment, clean and flush with a reliable cooling
system cleaner. Follow with a thorou gh rinsing to rem ove
all deposits and chem icals. Prop erly dispose of old
antifreeze solu tion.
Check the coolant recovery bottle tubing for brittle rub-
ber, cracking, tears, cuts, and tightness of the connection
at the bottle and rad iator. Insp ect the entire system for
leaks.
Selection of Coolan t
With the engine at norm al operating tem peratu re (but
not running), check the cooling system pressu re cap for
prop er vacu um sealing by draining a small amount of
coolant from the rad iator drain cock. If the cap is sealing
prop erly, the engine coolant (antifreeze) will begin to

I have mobile mechanic and my window wouldn't roll up. The fuses weren't labeled so I downloaded the Manuel and "boom" there we have it. No driving to 16 places looking. Lovviinng it!
