INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DESCRIPTIONS
4. Oil Pressure Light
Show s low engine oil pressu re. The light will come
on and rem ain on when the ignition switch is
turned from the OFF to the ON position, and the light
will turn off after the engine is started . If the bulb does
not come on during starting, have the system checked by
an authorized dealer.

Fuel Gauge
When the ignition switch is in the ON position, the
pointer will show the level of fuel rem aining in the
fuel tank.

Cha rging Syst em Light
This light show s the statu s of the electrical charg-
ing system . The light shou ld come on briefly when

If the light comes on and rem ains on while driving, stop
the vehicle and shu t off the engine. DO NOT OPERATE
THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE CAUSE IS CORRECTED.
the ignition is first turned ON and rem ain on briefly as a
bulb check. If the light stays on or comes on while
driving, it means that there is a problem with the
charging system . Obtain SERVICE IMMEDIATELY.
The light does not show the quantity of oil in the engine.
This can be determ ined using the proced ure show n in
Section 7.

Liftgate Ajar
This light comes on if the liftgate is not com-
pletely closed .
5. Theft Alarm Light — If Equipped
This light will flash rap idly for several second s when the
alarm system is arm ing. The light will begin to flash
slow ly ind icating that the system is arm ed.
