Certain cond itions such as a loose or missing gas cap,
poor fuel quality, etc. may illuminate the light after
engine start. The vehicle shou ld be serviced if the light
stays on throu gh several of you r typ ical driving cycles. In
most situ ations the vehicle will drive norm ally and will
not requ ire tow ing.
If the fuel level drop s to approxim ately 1.0 gallon (3.75
Liter), the fuel sym bol will flash several times and the
chim e will sou nd several times.

AutoStick Gear Posit ion— If Equipped
This vacu um fluorescent display ind icator illuminates
when the gearshift lever is moved to the AutoStick
position and show s the current gear selection.
If the Malfu nction Ind icator Light flashes when the
engine is running, seriou s cond itions may exist that
could lead to immediate loss of power or severe catalytic
converter damage. The vehicle shou ld be serviced as
soon as possible if this occurs.

Fuel Door Reminder
This sym bol is a rem ind er that the Fuel Filler Door is
located on the front passenger’s (right) side of the vehicle.

Odomet er/Trip Odomet er Reset Knob

Front Fog Light Indica tor — If Equipped
This light show s when the front fog lights are ON.
Press the knob to switch betw een the odometer and trip
odometer. While the trip odometer is being displayed ,
press and hold this knob for a few second s to reset the
trip odometer to zero miles/ kilom eters.

Low Fuel Light
When the fuel level drop s to abou t 1/ 8 tank, the
fuel sym bol will light and a single chim e will
sou nd . The light will rem ain on until fuel is added.
