Rear Cen ter Lap/Sh oulder Belt Retractor Lock-Out
This featu re is designed to lock the retractor whenever
the rear seat back is not fully latched . This prevents
som eone from wearing the rear center lap/ shou lder belt
when the rear seat back is not fully latched .
WARN ING!
The rear center lap /sh oulder belt is equipped with a
lock -out featu re to ensure that the rear seat back is in
the fully uprigh t and lock ed position when occu-
pied . If the rear seat back is not fully uprigh t and
lock ed and the rear center lap /sh oulder belt can be
pulled out of the retractor, the veh icle should imme-
diately be tak en to you r dealer for service. Failu re to
follow this warn ing could resu lt in seriou s or fatal
injury.
NOTE:
•
If the rear center lap/ shou lder belt can not be pulled
out, check that the rear seat back is fully latched .
•
If the rear seat back is prop erly latched and the rear
center lap/ shou lder belt still can not be pulled out, the
Autom atic-Locking Retractor (ALR) system may be
activated . To reset this featu re you must let all of the
belt webbing retu rn into the retractor. You will not be
able to pull out more webbing until all of the webbing
has been retu rned back into the retractor.
Adjustable Upper Shoulder Belt Anchorage
In the front seat, the shou lder belt can be adjusted
upward or downw ard to position the belt away from
you r neck. Push up or down on the anchorage button to
release the anchorage, and move it up or down to the
position that serves you best.
