If the fluid is cold, the fluid level shou ld be betw een the
lower two holes, into the area marked “LOW”.

If the fluid level show s low, add sufficient transm ission
fluid to bring to the prop er level.

Main ten ance schedule “B”—All Engin es – Every 60,000
miles (96 000 km) change fluid and filter und er the
follow ing cond itions:

Do not overfill. Dirt and water in the tran saxle can
cause seriou s damage. To preven t dirt and water
from enterin g the tran saxle after checking or rep len -
ish ing flu id, make certain that the dipstick cap is
seated prop erly.

Police, taxi, limousine, commercial typ e operation, or
trailer tow ing where the vehicle is driven regu larly for
more than 45 minu tes of continu ous operation.
