MAINTAINING YOUR VEHICLE
The cap  shou ld  be insp ected  and  cleaned  if there  is  any
accumulation   of foreign  material  on  the sealing  surfaces.
operating   tem peratu re,  the   level  of  the  coolant   in  the
bottle  shou ld be betw een the “FULL”  and “ADD”  marks.
The rad iator norm ally  rem ains completely  full, so there  is
no  need  to rem ove  the rad iator  cap  unless  checking   for
coolant  freeze   point  or  rep lacing  coolant.   Advise  you r
service  attend ant  of this. As long  as the  engine  operating
tem peratu re  is  satisfactory,  the   coolant  recovery   bottle
need  only  be checked  once  a month.
WARN ING!
The  warn ing  word s “DO  NOT   OPEN  HOT”  on  the
coolin g system   pressu re  cap are  a safety  precau  tion .
Never  add   coolan t  when  the   engin e  is overh eated  .
Do  not  loosen   or  rem ove  the  cap  to  cool  an   over-
heated   engin e. Heat   causes  pressu  re to  build   up  in
the  coolin g system . To preven  t scald ing or  injury,  do
not  rem ove the  pressu re  cap while   the system   is hot
or under   pressu  re.
When   additional    coolant   is   need ed  to   maintain    the
prop er level,  it shou ld  be added   to the  coolant  recovery
bottle.  Do not  overfill.

NOTE:   When  the  vehicle  is stop ped after  a few kilom e-
ters  (a few  miles)  of operation,   you  may  observe   vap or
coming  from the  front of the  engine compartm  ent.  This is
norm ally  a resu lt  of moistu re  from  rain,  snow,  or  high
