If the seatback is prop erly latched and the rear center
lap/ shou lder belt still does not operate prop erly check
and see if the Autom atic Locking retractor (ALR)
system is activated .

veh icle that is not equipped with seats and seat
belts
The rear center lap /sh oulder belt is equipped with a
lock -out featu re to ensure that the seatb ack is in the
fully uprigh t and lock ed position when occupied . If
the rear seatb ack is not fully uprigh t and lock ed and
the rear center lap /sh oulder belt can be pulled out of
the retractor, the veh icle should immediately be
tak en to you r dealer for service. Failu re to follow this
warn ing could resu lt in seriou s or fatal injury.
Be sure that everyon e in you r veh icle is in a seat
and usin g a seat belt prop erly.
NOTE:
If the rear center lap/ shou lder belt appears to be

locked into place, check to verify that the seatback is
fully latched .
