Without The Ignition Key
Special care must be taken when the vehicle is tow ed
with the ignition in the LOCK position. A dolly shou ld be
used und er the front wheels if the rear wheels are raised .
Prop er tow ing equ ipment is necessary to prevent dam-
age to the vehicle.
CAUTIO N!
If the veh icle bein g tow ed req uires steerin g, the
ign ition switch must be in the OFF position , not in
the LOCK or ACCESSO RY position s.
Towing This Vehicle Behind Anoth er Vehicle (Flat
Towing With All Four Wheels On The Grou nd)
If you r vehicle is equ ipped with a manu al transaxle, it
may be tow ed at any legal highw ay speed , for any
distance, if the transaxle is in neu tral.
Do not attem pt to use slin g typ e equipment when
tow ing. When secu rin g veh icle to flat bed tru ck, do
not attach to fron t or rear suspension components.
Damage to you r veh icle may resu lt from improp er
tow ing.

If the ignition key is not available, vehicles with auto-
matic transaxles can not be flat tow ed at any time.
If it is necessary to use the accessories while being tow ed
(wipers, defrosters, etc.), the key must be in the ON
position, not the ACCESSORY position. Make certain the
transaxle rem ains in NEUTRAL.
