illuminate,youmayhearanelectricmotortypeof
soundcomingfromtheenginecompartmentandthe
enginewillnot“rev-up”whenyoupushfurtheron
theaccelerator.Thisisnormalsystembehaviorand
shouldbenoreasonforconcern.
TheTractionControl௢
switch,locatedbelow
theradio,illuminates
whenthesystemisoff.
TheTractionControl௢
systemwill
automaticallyturnoneverytimetheignitionis
turnedOFFandON.
Ifyoushouldbecomestuckinsnoworiceorona
veryslipperyroadsurface,tryswitchingtheTraction
Control௢systemoff.Thismayallowexcesswheel
spinto“dig”thevehicleoutandenableasuccessful
“
rocking”maneuver.
Thetractioncontrolon/offstatusisshownbyan
indicatorlamponthetractioncontrolswitch.Ifthe
systemisoff,theindicatorwillbeilluminated.Ifa
systemfaultisdetectedwhilethetractioncontrol
systeminon,theindicatorlamponthetraction
controlswitchwillbeilluminatedandyourvehicle
shouldbeserviced.
Aggressivedrivinginanyroadconditions
cancauseyoutolosecontrolofyourvehicle
increasingtheriskofseverepersonalinjuryor
propertydamage.TheoccurrenceofaTraction
Control௢eventisanindicationthatatleastsome
ofthetireshaveexceededtheirabilitytogripthe
road;thismayleadtoanincreasedriskoflossof
vehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personalinjury
anddeath.Ifyouexperienceasevereroadevent,
