Theshoulderbeltshouldcrossthechest,resting
snuglyonthecenteroftheshoulder.Thelapbelt
shouldrestlowandsnugacrossthehips,neverup
highacrossthestomach.
Iftheboosterseatslidesonthevehicleseat,placing
arubberizedmeshsoldasshelforcarpetlinerunder
theboosterseatmayimprovethiscondition.
Theimportanceofshoulderbelts
Usingaboosterwithoutashoulderbeltincreases
theriskofachildsheadhittingahardsurfaceina
collision.Forthisreason,youshouldneverusea
boosterseatwithalapbeltonly.Itisbesttousea
boosterseatwithlap/shoulderbeltsinthebackseat-
thesafestplaceforchildrentoride.

Neverputtheshoulderbeltunderachilds
armorbehindthebackbecauseit
