Thefollowingprocedureshouldbeusedwhen
refillingthecoolingsystemofa4.6LV8engineafter
ithasbeendrainedorbecomeextremelylow.

Removethepressurereliefcapfromtheengine
coolantreservoiraspreviouslyoutlined.

Slowlyadda50/50mixtureofenginecoolant
anddistilledwatertotheenginecoolantreservoir
untilthecoolantlevelisatthe“coldfilllevel”as
listedonthereservoir.

andcoolantisflowingthroughtheentiresystem).
Reinstallthepressurereliefcap.
Startandidletheengineuntiltheupperradiator

Shuttheengineoffandletitcool.

coolantreservoiraspreviouslyoutlined.

Adda50/50mixtureofenginecoolantand
distilledwatertotheenginecoolantreservoiruntil
thecoolantlevelisatthe“coldfilllevel”aslistedon
thereservoir.

Reinstallthepressurereliefcap.

Checkthecoolantlevelinthereservoirbefore
