temperature(66°C-77°C[150°F-170°F]).

ifatambient
temperature(10°C-35°C[50°F-95°F]).
Highfluidlevel
Fluidlevelsabovethe
saferangemayresult
intransmissionfailure.
Anoverfillconditionoftransmissionfluidmaycause
shiftand/orengagementconcernsand/orpossible
damage.
Highfluidlevelscanbecausedbyanoverheating
condition.
Adjustingautomatictransmissionfluidlevels
Beforeaddinganyfluid,makesurethecorrecttype
isused.Thetypeoffluidusedisnormallyindicated
onthedipstickandalsointheLubricant
specificationssectioninthischapter.
Useofanon-approvedautomatictransmission
fluidmaycauseinternaltransmission
componentdamage.
Ifnecessary,addfluidin250ml(1/2pint)
incrementsthroughthefillertubeuntilthelevelis
correct.
Ifanoverfilloccurs,
excessfluidshouldbe
removedbyaqualified
technician.
