fuelshutoffincasetheengineisfloodedwithfuel.
Using the engine block heater (if equipped)
Anengineblockheaterwarmstheenginecoolant
whichaidsinstartingandheater/defroster
performance.Useofanengineblockheateris
stronglyrecommendedifyouliveinaregionwhere
temperaturesreach-23°C(-10°F)orbelow.For
bestresults,plugtheheaterinatleastthreehours
beforestartingthevehicle.Theheatercanbe
pluggedinthenightbeforestartingthevehicle.
Toreducetheriskofelectricalshock,donot
useyourheaterwithungroundedelectrical
systemsortwo-pronged(cheater)adapters.
Guarding against exhaust fumes
Carbonmonoxideispresentinexhaustfumes.Take
precautionstoavoiditsdangerouseffects.
Ifyousmellexhaustfumesinsideyour
vehicle,haveyourdealerinspectyour
vehicleimmediately.Donotdriveifyousmell
exhaustfumes.
