Automatic Temperature Control — If Equipped
The Infrared Dual-Zone Climate Control System auto-
matically maintains the interior comfort level desired by
the driver and passenger. This is accom plished by a dual
sun-sensor in the top of the instru ment panel, and an
infrared sensor located in the face of the control unit.
There are also variou s sensors monitored by this system
which take accou nt for vehicle speed , A/ C pressu re,
outsid e tem peratu re, and engine cooling tem peratu re.
The infrared sensor ind epend ently measu res the surface
tem peratu re of the driver and passenger. Based on the
sensor inp ut, the system autom atically adjusts the air
flow tem peratu re, the air flow volu me, and amount of
outsid e air recircu lation. This maintains a comfortable
tem peratu re even und er changing cond itions.
