EngineOilFilterSelection
The manu factu rer stronglyrecommends against the ad-
dition of any additives (other than leak detection dyes) to
engine oil. Engine oil is an engineered prod uct and it’s
perform ance may be impaired by supplemental addi-
tives.
All of the manu factu rer’s engines have a full-flow typ e
disposable oil filter. Use a filter of this typ e for rep lace-
ment. The quality of rep lacem ent filters varies consid er-
ably. Only high quality filters shou ld be used to assu re
most efficient service. Mop ar engine oil filters are high
quality oil filters and are recom mend ed.
DisposingofUsedEngineOil
Care shou ld be taken in disposing of the used engine oil
from you r vehicle. Used oil, ind iscrim inately discard ed,
can present a problem to the environm ent. Contact you r
local authorized dealer, service station, or governm ental
agency for advice on how and where used oil can be
safely discard ed in you r area.
Drive Belts — Check Condition and Tensioner
Belt tension is controlled by means of an autom atic
tensioner. No belt tension adjustm ents are requ ired .
However, belt and belt tensioner cond ition shou ld be
insp ected at the specified intervals, and rep laced if re-
quired . See you r authorized dealer for service.
EngineOilFilter
The engine oil filter shou ld be rep laced with a new filter
at every oil change.
At the mileage ind icated in the maintenance sched ule, all
belts and tensioner shou ld be checked for cond ition.
Improp er belt tension can cause belt slippage and failu re.
