more frequent fluid and filter changes. Refer to
Fluids, Lubricants, and Genuine Parts for correct
fluidtype.
To check the autom atic transm ission fluid level prop erly,
the follow ing proced ure must be used :

Operate the engine at idle speed and norm al operating
tem peratu re.

Fully apply the parking brake and press the brake

pedal.
NOTE:
If equ ipped with a dipstick, use the follow ing

Place the gear selector momentarily in each gear
proced ure. If you r vehicle has a capped dipstick tube, it
is sealed and shou ld not be tam pered with. Your autho-
rized dealer has the prop er tools to ensu re that the fluid
level is set prop erly.
