Tire Pressure Monitor System
NOTE: The TPM system can inform you abou t a low or
high tire pressu re cond ition, but it does not rep lace
norm al tire maintenance.
The Tire Pressu re Monitor (TPM) system uses wireless
technology to monitor tire pressu re levels. Sensors,
mounted to each wheel as part of the valve stem transm it
tire pressu re read ings to a receiver located in the over-
head console.
The TPM system is not intend ed to provid e you with
notification of rap id pressu re loss.
The tire pressu re is show n in the Electronic Vehicle
Inform ation Center (EVIC) display. The TPM system
rem ains active even if it is not displayed in the EVIC.

If any tire pressu re has exceed ed the low or high
pressu re (refer to STARTING AND OPERATIN G —
TIRES AND WHEELS), the TPM system will display a
message in the EVIC and sou nd a chim e. It will then go
