THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING  YOUR VEHICLE
Lap/Shoulder Belt Operating Instructions
Enter  the   vehicle  and   close  the  door.   Sit  back  and
WARN ING!

Wearin g a  seat belt   incorrectly  is  dangerou  s. Seat
belts  are design  ed to  go arou nd the  large  bones  of
you r body.  These   are  the  stron gest  parts   of you r
body   and  can  tak e  the  forces   of  a  collision   the
best.  Wearin g you r belt   in the  wron g  place  could
make  you r injuries  in  a collision  much  worse.  You
migh t suffer   intern al  injuries,   or  you  could  even
slid e out  of part  of  the  belt.  Follow  these  instru  c-
tion s  to  wear  you r  seat  belt  safely   and   to  keep
you r passen gers  safe,  too.

2.  The seat belt  latch plate  is above  the back  of you r seat.
Grasp  the latch  plate  and pull  out  the belt. Slide  the latch
plate  up the  webbing  as far  as necessary  to make  the belt
go arou nd  you r lap.
Two  peop le should   never   be  belted  into  a  sin gle
seat belt.  Peop le belted  togeth  er can crash  into  one
anoth er in  an accid ent,  hurtin g  one anoth  er badly.
Never   use  a  lap /sh oulder   belt  or  a  lap  belt   for
more  than  one  person  , no matter   what  their  size.
