Rem ove the fuel cap slow ly to preven t fuel spray
from the filler neck which may cause injury.
The volatility of som e gasolin e may cause a
build up of pressu re in the fuel tan k which may
increase while you drive. This pressu re can resu lt
in a spray of gasolin e and/or vap ors when the cap
is rem oved from a hot veh icle. Rem ovin g the cap

fuel spray.

Never add fuel when the engin e is running.
CAUTIO N!
Never have any smoking materials lit in or near
the veh icle when the fuel cap is rem oved or the
tan k filled .
Damage to the fuel system or emission control
system could resu lt from usin g an improp er fuel
tan k filler cap (gas cap). A poorly fittin g cap could let
impurities into the fuel system .
