Thank you for selecting a Jeep Liberty and welcom e to
our world wide family.

This is a specialized utility vehicle designed for both
on-road and off-road use. It can go places and perform
tasks for which conventional two-wheel drive vehicles
were not intend ed. However, on-road rid e and hand ling
will have a different feel from what drivers experience
with other vehicles, so take time to becom e familiar with
you r vehicle.
As with other vehicles of this typ e, failu re to operate this
vehicle correctly may resu lt in loss of control or an
accident. Be sure to read “On-Road / Off-Road Driving
Tips” in Section 5 of this manu al.
Roll Over Warning
The two-wheel drive utility veh icle was design ed for
on-road use only. It is not inten ded for off-road drivin g
or use in oth er severe condition s suited to a fou r-wheel
drive veh icle.
Utility vehicles have a significantly higher roll over rate
than other typ es of vehicles. This vehicle has a higher
grou nd clearance, higher center of gravity, and narrow er
track than many passenger cars. It is capable of perform -
ing better in a wide variety of off-road applications.
Driven in an unsafe manner, all vehicles can be caused to
