drive straigh t up or down.
After Driving Off-Road
Off-road operation puts more stress on you r vehicle than
does most on-highw ay driving. After going off-road it is
alw ays a good idea to check for damage. That way you
can get any problem s taken care of right away and have
you r vehicle read y when you need it.
If the wheels start to slip as you approach the crest of a
hill, ease off the accelerator and maintain head way by
turning the front wheels sharp ly left and right. This will
provid e fresh “bite” into the surface and will usually
provid e traction to complete the climb.

Traction Downhill
Shift the transm ission into a low gear and the transfer

the hill with all four wheels turning against engine
compression drag. This will perm it you to control the
vehicle speed and direction.
