Tire chains that are recom mend ed for this vehicle are
listed below :
TIRE ROTATION RECOMMENDATIONS
Tires on the front and rear axles of vehicles operate at
different load s and perform different steering, hand ling,
and braking functions. For these reasons, they wear at
unequ al rates, and develop irregu lar wear patterns.
•
Mop ar P/ N 82206828 with P235/ 70R16 and P235/
65R17
tires.
•
Mop ar P/ N 82207074 with P215/ 75R16 tires.
These effects can be red uced by timely rotation of tires.
The benefits of rotation are especially worthw hile with
aggressive tread designs such as those on On/ Off Road
typ e tires. Rotation will increase tread life, help to main-
tain mud, snow, and wet traction levels, and contribu te to
a smooth, quiet rid e.
NOTE: In ord er to avoid damage to tires, chains, and
you r vehicle do not drive for a prolonged period of time
on dry pavem ent. Observe the tire chain manu factu rer’s
instru ctions on method of installation, operating speed ,
and cond itions for usage.
Alw ays use the lower suggested operating speed if both
the chain manu factu rer and vehicle manu factu rer sug-
gest a maxim um speed . This notice applies to all chain
traction devices, inclu ding link and cable (rad ial) chains.
Follow the recom mend ed tire rotation frequ ency for you r
typ e of driving found in the “Maintenance Sched ules”
Section of this manu al. More frequ ent rotation is perm is-
sible if desired . The reasons for any rap id or unu sual
wear shou ld be corrected prior to rotation being per-
form ed.
