FUEL SYSTEM

Remove

Release fixings and remove battery cover.
Disconnect battery negative lead.
Raise rear of vehicle.
1. Remove 3 bolts and remove engine acoustic
cover.
2. Remove battery cover.
3.
Disconnect battery negative lead.
WARNING: Support on safety stands.
4. Drain cooling system. See COOLING
SYSTEM, Adjustment.

Release 3 clips and disconnect 3 coolant hoses
from fuel cooler.
Release 2 fuel hoses from fuel cooler.
CAUTION: Plug the connections.

Release vacuum pipe clip from fuel cooler.
Remove 4 bolts securing fuel cooler to inlet
manifold and remove cooler.

Release fixing and remove fuel filter cover.
Clean area around fuel filter.
Disconnect multiplug from filter element.
Remove fuel filter element.
Refit
Refit

Clean fuel hose connections.
Position fuel cooler to inlet manifold. Apply
Loctite 242 to bolts and tighten to 18 Nm (13
lbf.ft).

Clean fuel filter and mating face.
Fit new fuel filter element and connect multiplug.
Position fuel filter cover and secure with fixing.
Remove stand(s) and lower vehicle.
Reconnect battery negative lead.

Connect fuel hoses.
Connect coolant hoses, secure with clips.
Secure vacuum hose to fuel cooler.
Refill cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM,
Adjustment.
Fit and secure battery cover.

Fit engine acoustic cover and secure with bolts.
Reconnect battery negative lead.
Fit battery cover.
