to100%and“OILLIFESETTO
100%”
isdisplayed.
Note:Tochangeoillife100%milesvaluefrom7,500miles(12,070km)
or6monthstoanothervalue,proceedtostep3.

Once“OILLIFESETTO100%”is
displayed,release,pressandhold
theSELECT/RESETcontrolswitch
formorethan2secondstochange
theOilLifeStartValue.Each
release,pressandholdwillreduce
thevalueby10percent.

AftersettingtheOilLifeStartValue,pressandreleasethe
SELECT/RESETcontrolswitchforthenextSETUPMENUitemorwait
formorethan4secondstoreturntotheINFOMENU.
Note:OilLifeStartValueof100%equals7,500miles(12,070km)or6
months.Forexample,settingOilLifeStartValueto60%setstheOilLife
StartValueto3,000miles(4,828km)and120days.
Compassdisplay(ifequipped)
ThecompassheadingisdisplayedasoneofN,NE,E,SE,S,SW,Wand
NWinthemessagecenterdisplay.
Thecompassreadingmaybeaffectedwhenyoudrivenearlarge
buildings,bridges,powerlinesandpowerfulbroadcastantenna.Magnetic
ormetallicobjectsplacedin,onornearthevehiclemayalsoaffect
compassaccuracy.
Usually,whensomethingaffectsthecompassreadings,thecompasswill
correctitselfafterafewdaysofoperatingyourvehicleinnormal
conditions.Ifthecompassstillappearstobeinaccurate,amanual
calibrationmaybenecessary.RefertoCompasszoneadjustment.
Mostgeographicareas(zones)haveamagneticnorthcompasspointthat
variesslightlyfromthenortherlydirectiononmaps.Thisvariationisup
tofourdegreesbetweenadjacentzonesandwillbecomenoticeableas
thevehiclecrossesmultiplezones.Acorrectzonesettingwilleliminate
thiserror.RefertoCompasscalibrationadjustment.
