Tires, Wheels and Loading
Whenmountingreplacementtiresandwheels,youshouldnot
exceedthemaximumpressureindicatedonthesidewallofthe
tiretosetthebeadswithoutadditionalprecautionslistedbelow.Ifthe
beadsdonotseatatthemaximumpressureindicated,re-lubricateand
tryagain.
Wheninflatingthetireformountingpressuresupto20psi(1.38bar)
greaterthanthemaximumpressureonthetiresidewall,thefollowing
precautionsmustbetakentoprotectthepersonmountingthetire:

Lubricatethetirebeadandwheelbeadseatareaagain.
Standataminimumof12ft.(3.66m)awayfromthetirewheel
assembly.

Foramountingpressuremorethan20psi(1.38bar)greaterthanthe
maximumpressure,aFordDealerorothertireserviceprofessional
shoulddothemounting.
Alwaysinflatesteelcarcasstireswitharemoteairfillwiththeperson
inflatingstandingataminimumof12ft.(3.66m)awayfromthetire
wheelassembly.
Important:Remembertoreplacethewheelvalvestemswhentheroad
tiresarereplacedonyourvehicle.
Itisrecommendedthatthetwofronttiresortworeartiresgenerallybe
replacedasapair.
Thetirepressuresensorsmountedinthewheels(originallyinstalledon
yourvehicle)arenotdesignedtobeusedinaftermarketwheels.
TheuseofwheelsortiresnotrecommendedbyFordMotorCompany
mayaffecttheoperationofyourTirePressureMonitoringSystem.
IftheTPMSindicatorisflashing,yourTPMSismalfunctioning.Your
replacementtiremightbeincompatiblewithyourTPMS,orsome
componentoftheTPMSmaybedamaged.
