Makesuretheliftgatedoorand/orwindowareclosedtoprevent
exhaustfumesfrombeingdrawnintothevehicle.Thiswillalso
reducetheriskofpassengersandcargofallingout.
LUGGAGE RACK
ЉYourvehicleisequippedwitharoof
rackfortransportingitemsonthe
exteriorofthevehicle.The
maximumrecommendedloadtobe
carriedontheroofrackis100lb
(45
kg),evenlydistributed.The
crossbars(ifequipped)canbe
adjustedbyusingthethumbwheels
ateachend.Usethetie-downloops
onthethumbwheelstosecureload.
Toadjustcross-barposition(if
equipped):
1.
Loosenthethumbwheelatboth
endsofthecross-bar(both
cross-barsareadjustable).
2.
Slidethecross-bartothedesired
location.
3.
Firmlyretightenthethumbwheel
atbothendsofthecross-bar.
Besuretocheckthatthethumbwheelsaretighteachtimeloadisadded
orremovedfromtheroofrack,andperiodicallywhiletraveling.Always
ensurethattheloadissecurebeforetraveling.
FordMotorCompanyrecommendsloadingtheroofrackonlywhen
equippedwith(optional)crossbars,toavoidunintendeddamagetothe
roofpanel.
Note:Whenthecross-barsarenotinuse,theycaneitherberemovedor
adjustedsothattherearcrossbarisfullyrearward,andthefront
crossbaris10inchesfromthefrontend-captodecreasewindnoise.
