detectionzoneofthereversesensingsystemmaycreatefalsebeeps.
Thesystemwillassistthedriverindetectingcertainobjectswhilethe
vehiclemovesinreverseatspeedslessthan6mph(10km/h).The
systemisnoteffectiveatspeedsgreaterthan6mph(10km/h)andmay
notdetectcertainangularormovingobjects.
Thesystemdetectsobstacleswithinapproximately16feet(fivemeters),
atspeedsabove2.5mph(4km/h)behindtherearbumperwitha
decreasedcoverageareaattheoutercornersofthebumper.Ifvehicle
speedisbelow2.5mph(4km/h),thesystemdetectsobstacleswithin
approximately9feet(2.6meters)behindtherearbumperwitha
decreasedcoverageareaattheoutercornersofthebumper.Asyou
moveclosertotheobstacle,therateofthetoneincreases.Whenthe
distancetotheobstacleisapproximatelylessthan18inches(45.0cm),
thetonewillsoundcontinuously.Ifthesystemdetectsanobjectthatis
approachingthevehicleatsucharatethatrapidbrakingisrequired,a
veryhighratetonewillsound.Ifthistoneisheardwhilereversing,the
driverisadvisedtoslowdownimmediatelyuntilthetoneeitherchanges
toaslowerrateorstops.
Whilereceivingawarningtheradiovolumewillbereducedtoa
predeterminedlevel.Afterthewarninggoesaway,theradiowillreturn
tothepreviousvalue.
