weightthatcanbecarriedbyasingleaxle(frontorrear).These
numbersareshownontheSafetyComplianceCertificationLabel
locatedontheB-Pillarortheedgeofthedriver’sdoor.Thetotal
loadoneachaxlemustneverexceeditsGAWR.
Note:FortrailertowinginformationrefertoTrailertowingfoundin
thischapterortheRVandTrailerTowingGuideprovidedbyyour
authorizeddealer.
GVW(GrossVehicleWeight)–istheVehicleCurbWeight+cargo+
passengers.
GVWR(GrossVehicleWeight
Rating)–isthemaximum
allowableweightofthefullyloaded
vehicle(includingalloptions,
equipment,passengersandcargo).
TheGVWRisshownonthe
SafetyComplianceCertification
LabellocatedontheB-Pillaror
theedgeofthedriver’sdoor.
TheGVWmustneverexceedthe
GVWR.
ExceedingtheSafetyComplianceCertificationLabelvehicle
weightratinglimitscouldresultinsubstandardvehiclehandling
orperformance,engine,transmissionand/orstructuraldamage,serious
damagetothevehicle,lossofcontrolandpersonalinjury.
