counterclockwiseuntilthetireis
loweredtothegroundandthecable
hasslack.Whenturningthewrench,
makesurethatitdoesnotscuffthe
kickplate.

Slidethetirerearward,liftone
sideandremovetheretainerfrom
thesparetire.
Changingthesparetire
Whenoneoftherearwheelsisofftheground,thetransmission
alonewillnotpreventthevehiclefrommovingorslippingoffthe
jack,evenifthetransmissionisinP(Park).
Tohelppreventthevehiclefrommovingwhenyouchangeatire,
besuretheparkingbrakeisset,thenblockthewheelthatis
diagonallyopposite(otherendofthevehicle)tothetirebeing
changed.
Ifthevehicleslipsoffthejack,youorsomeoneelsecouldbe
seriouslyinjured.
Donotattempttochangeatireonthesideofthevehicleclose
tomovingtraffic.Pullfarenoughofftheroadtoavoidthe
dangerofbeinghitwhenoperatingthejackorchangingthewheel.
Turnofftherunningboards(ifequipped)beforeworkingunder
thevehicle,jacking,orplacinganyobjectunderthevehicle.
Neverplaceyourhandinthehingeassemblies.Amovingrunning
boardmaycauseinjury.
