Distributesoutsideairthroughthewindshielddefrosterand
demistervents.Canbeusedtoclearthiniceorfogfromthe
windshield.Thesystemwillautomaticallyprovideoutsideairtoreduce
windowfogging.Toexit
selectanothermode.

Temperature:Controlsthetemperatureoftheairflowinthevehicle.
Foroptimumdefrostingperformance,setthedialtothehottestsetting.
4.  R  :Presstoactivate/deactivatetherearwindowdefroster.Referto
Rearwindowdefrosterlaterinthischapterformoreinformation.If
yourvehicleisequippedwithbothreardefrosterandheatedmirrors,the
samebuttonwillactivateboth.

:Presstoactivate/deactivateairrecirculationinthevehicle
cabin.Recirculatedairmayreducetheamountoftimerequiredtocool
downtheinteriorofthevehicleandmayalsohelpreduceundesired
odorsfromreachingtheinteriorofthevehicle.Recirculatedairengages
automaticallywhenMAXA/Cisselectedorcanbeengagedmanuallyin
anyairflowmodeexcept
A/C(ifequipped):Presstoactivate/deactivateairconditioning.Use
withrecirculatedairtoimprovecoolingperformanceandefficiency.

windowsslightlyopenfor2-3minutesafterstartuporuntilthe
vehiclehasbeen“airedout.”

Asmallamountofairmaybefeltfromthefloorventregardlessofthe
airdistributionsettingthatisselected.
Duringextremehighambienttemperatureswhenidlingstationaryfor
extendedperiodsoftimeingear,itisrecommendedtoruntheA/Cin
theMAXA/Cposition,reduceblowerfanspeedfromthehighestsetting
