Track,Genre)arenotpopulated,thetrackswon’tbeavailableinvoice
recognition,the PlayMenuorSimilarMusic.However,ifyouplace
thesetrackswithunpopulatedmetadatatagsontoyourplayingdevicein
“MassStorageDevicemode”,thesetrackswillbeavailableinvoice
recognition, PlayMenubrowsingorSimilarMusic.UNKNOWNwillbe
placedintoanyunpopulatedmetadatatag.
RefertoUsingthemediasettingsinyourmediamenuearlierinthis
chapterforfurtherinformationonmakingadjustmentstoyourmusic
(i.e.,Seek,Shuffle,AutoplayandRepeat).

Autoplay:WithAutoplayturnedON,SYNC௡allowsyoutolistento
musicwhichhasalreadybeenrandomlyindexedduringtheindexing
process.WithAutoplayturnedoff,thechosenmusicwillnotbeginto
playuntilallofthemusichasbeenindexedbySYNC௡.Dependingonthe
sizeofthematerial,thismaytakeafewminutes.
Bluetoothenabledcellularphone:Anycellularphonewhichhasthe
Bluetoothwirelesstechnologywhichwillenablethephonetoconnect
withSYNC௡andexchangeinformationwirelessly.
Digitalmediaplayer/USBDevice:Thisisagenerictermusedto
signifyanyofthefollowingmediadevices:iPod௡,Zune™,“Playsfrom
device”players,andmostUSBdrives(thumbdrives,flashdrives,PEN
drives,etc.)
Discoverablemode:AmodewhichallowsotherBluetoothenabled
devicestofindyourBluetoothenableddevice.
Discoverymode:AmodewhichallowsyourBluetoothenableddevice
tosearchforother‘discoverable’Bluetoothenableddevices.
In-bandringing:Thisisaphonedependentfeature.IfyourBluetooth
enabledcellularphonesupportsthisfeature,SYNC௡canplayyourring
toneduringincomingcalls.
Indexing:AprocessinwhichSYNC௡buildsavoicerecognitiongrammar
forthemediacontentofyourdigitalmediaplayer.Whileindexing,
SYNC௡willplayalreadyindexedmediaifAutoplayison.However,voice
recognitionisnotavailableforthemediauntiltheindexingprocessis
complete.
