Protectagainstfreezingtemperatures.
Whenremovingvehiclefromstorage,checkcoolantfluidlevel.
Confirmtherearenocoolingsystemleaks,andfluidisatthe
recommendedlevel.
Battery
Checkandrechargeasnecessary.Keepconnectionsclean.
Ifstoringyourvehicleformorethan30dayswithoutrechargingthe
battery,itmaybeadvisabletodisconnectthebatterycablestoensure
batterychargeismaintainedforquickstarting.
Note:Ifbatterycablesaredisconnected,itwillbenecessarytoreset
memoryfeatures.
Brakes
Makesurebrakesandparkingbrakearefullyreleased.
Tires
Maintainrecommendedairpressure.
Miscellaneous
Makesurealllinkages,cables,leversandpinsundervehicleare
coveredwithgreasetopreventrust.
Movevehiclesatleast25feet(8m)every15daystolubricate
workingpartsandpreventcorrosion.
Removingvehiclefromstorage
Whenyourvehicleisreadytocomeoutofstorage,dothefollowing:
Washyourvehicletoremoveanydirtorgreasefilmbuild-upon
windowsurfaces.
Checkwindshieldwipersforanydeterioration.
Checkunderthehoodforanyforeignmaterialthatmayhavecollected
duringstorage(mice/squirrelnests).
Checktheexhaustforanyforeignmaterialthatmayhavecollected
duringstorage.
ChecktirepressuresandsettireinflationpertheTireLabel.
Checkbrakepedaloperation.Drivethevehicle15ft(4.5meters)back
andforthtoremoverustbuild-up.
Checkfluidlevels(includingcoolant,oilandgas)tomakesurethere
arenoleaks,andfluidsareatrecommendedlevels.
