objectswillnotcausedamagetothecodedkey,butmaycausea
momentaryissueiftheyaretooclosetothekeywhenstartingthe
engine.Ifaproblemoccurs,turntheignitionoff,removeallobjectson
thekeychainawayfromthecodedkeyandrestarttheengine.
Note:Donotleaveaduplicatecodedkeyinthevehicle.Always
takeyourkeysandlockalldoorswhenleavingthevehicle.
Anti-theft indicator
Theanti-theftindicatorislocatedintheinstrumentcluster.

Whentheignitionisoff,the
indicatorwillflashonceeverytwo
secondstoindicatethe
SecuriLocksystemisfunctioning
asatheftdeterrent.
•
Whentheignitionison,theindicatorwillglowforthreeseconds,then
turnoff,toindicatenormalsystemfunctionality.
IfaproblemoccurswiththeSecuriLocksystem,theindicatorwillflash
rapidlyorglowsteadilywhentheignitionisintheonposition.Ifthis
occurs,turntheignitionoffthenbackontomakesuretherewasno
electronicinterferencewiththeprogrammedkey.Ifthevehicledoesn’t
start,trytostartitwiththe2ndprogrammedkeyandifsuccessful
contactyourauthorizeddealershipforkeyreplacement.Iftheindicator
stillflashesrapidlyorglowssteadily,andthevehiclewillnotstart,
contactyourauthorizeddealerassoonaspossibleforservice.
Automatic arming
Thevehicleisarmedimmediatelyafterswitchingtheignitiontotheoff
position.
Automatic disarming
Switchingtheignitiontotheonpositionwithacodedkeydisarmsthe
vehicle.
Replacement keys
Ifyourkeysarelostorstolenandyoudon’thaveanextracodedkey,
youwillneedtohaveyourvehicletowedtoanauthorizeddealer.The
keycodesneedtobeerasedfromyourvehicleandnewcodedkeyswill
needtobeprogrammed.
