Movethegearshiftleverand
securelylatchitinP(Park).
WARNING:Alwayssettheparkingbrakefullyandmakesure
thegearshiftislatchedinP(Park).Turntheignitiontotheoff
positionandremovethekeywheneveryouleaveyourvehicle.
Note:Theautomatictransmissionperformsaseriesofautomatedchecks
whentheignitionisturnedtotheoffposition.Aslightclickingsound
maybeheardandisconsideredanormalpartofoperation.
WARNING:Donotapplythebrakepedalandacceleratorpedal
simultaneously.Applyingbothpedalssimultaneouslyformore
thanthreesecondswilllimitenginerpm,whichmayresultindifficulty
maintainingspeedintrafficandcouldleadtoseriousinjury.
R(Reverse)
WiththegearshiftleverinR(Reverse),thevehiclewillmovebackward.
AlwayscometoacompletestopbeforeshiftingintoandoutofR
(Reverse).
N(Neutral)
WiththegearshiftleverinN(Neutral),thevehiclecanbestartedandis
freetoroll.Holdthebrakepedaldownwhileinthisposition.
