Electronicstabilitycontrol(ESC)mayenhanceyourvehicle’sdirectional
stabilityduringadversemaneuvers,forexamplewhencorneringseverely
oravoidingobjectsintheroadway.ESCoperatesbyapplyingbrakesto
oneormoreofthewheelsindividuallyand,ifnecessary,reducingengine
powerifthesystemdetectsthatthevehicleisabouttoskidorslide
laterally.
DuringESCevents,thestabilitycontrollightintheinstrumentcluster
willflash.
CertainadversedrivingmaneuversmayactivatetheESCsystem,which
includebutarenotlimitedto:

SwitchingoffAdvanceTrac
Ifthevehicleisstuckinsnow,mudorsand,andseemstoloseengine
power,switchingoffcertainfeaturesoftheAdvanceTracsystemmaybe
beneficialbecausethewheelsareallowedtospin.Thiswillrestorefull
enginepowerandwillenhancemomentumthroughtheobstacle.
ToswitchofftheAdvanceTracsystem,selecttractioncontroloff
throughthevehiclesettingmenuinthemulti-functiondisplay.Full
featuresoftheAdvanceTracsystemcanberestoredbyselectingTCS
againorbyturningoffandrestartingtheengine.
IfyouswitchofftheAdvanceTracsystem,thetractioncontrolsystem
willbede-selectedinthemulti-functiondisplayandthestabilitycontrol
offlightwillilluminatesteadily.SelectingtheAdvanceTracsystemagain
willturnoffthestabilitycontrolofflight.
