catalyticconverterwhichwillenableyourvehicletocomplywith
applicableexhaustemissionstandards.Tomakesurethatthecatalytic
converterandotheremissioncontrolcomponentscontinuetowork
properly:

Avoidrunningoutoffuel.
Donotturnofftheignitionwhileyourvehicleismoving,especiallyat
highspeeds.

IfotherthanFord,Motorcraft௡orFord-authorizedpartsareusedfor
maintenancereplacementsorforserviceofcomponentsaffecting
emissioncontrol,suchnon-Fordpartsshouldbeequivalenttogenuine
FordMotorCompanypartsinperformanceanddurability.
WARNING:Donotpark,idle,ordriveyourvehicleindrygrass
orotherdrygroundcover.Theemissionsystemheatsupthe
enginecompartmentandexhaustsystem,whichcanstartafire.
Illuminationoftheserviceenginesoon
indicator,chargingsystem
warninglightorthetemperaturewarninglight,fluidleaks,strangeodors,
smokeorlossofenginepowercouldindicatethattheemissioncontrol
systemisnotworkingproperly.
Animproperlyoperatingordamagedexhaustsystemmayallowexhaust
toenterthevehicle.Haveadamagedorimproperlyoperatingexhaust
systeminspectedandrepairedimmediately.
WARNING:Exhaustleaksmayresultinentryofharmfuland
potentiallylethalfumesintothepassengercompartment.
